THE NEW SCOOBY-DOO MOVIES
September 9, 1972 - October 27, 1973
2 seasons, 24 episodes
Network: CBS
This series presented a different format to the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? series. While the overarching concept remained basically the same, each episode featured a different celebrity or pop culture icon who was famous at the time. Each episode, the celebrity of the week would team up with the gang and try to help them solve the mystery. However, the conceptual structure remained the same - Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby catching creepy villains in the process of attempting to solve the mystery which surrounded the culprit's motive. Although The New Scooby-Doo Movies was successful, it was cancelled in 1973 after two seasons and a total of 24 overall episodes.

THE SCOOBY-DOO SHOW
September 11, 1976 - December 23, 1978
3 seasons, 40 episodes
Network: ABC
No Scooby-Doo series aired since October of 1973, and Hanna-Barbera wanted a fresh start for the franchise after the series was not picked up by CBS for any more seasons. The Scooby-Doo Show brought us back to the original Scooby formula without the guest stars, but provided a darker tone than that which was presented in the previous two series. A new character, Scooby-Dum, also appeared in four episodes as Scooby's dimwitted detective cousin, who tried to assist the gang in solving the mystery. Fred Silverman, the CBS executive who was responsible for greenlighting the original Scooby-Doo series, made the decision to move to ABC. Because of this, Scooby also made the move to the ABC network and aired every Saturday morning, just as it had on CBS. In addition, Nicole Jaffe, the original voice of Velma, also quit the role due to her marriage, and was replaced by Pat Stevens. The first season aired alongside Dynomutt, Dog Wonder in a programming block entitled The Scooby-Doo / Dynomutt Hour, which the first season is sometimes referred to as. The third season was also rebranded as Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Season 3 for the purposes of marketing and the DVD release, but it is officially still part of The Scooby-Doo Show.

SCOOBY'S ALL STAR LAFF-A-LYMPICS
September 10, 1977 - October 28, 1978
2 seasons, 24 episodes
Network: ABC
Mirroring ABC's current Battle of the Network Stars series, which featured various actors and actresses who portrayed famous main characters competing against each other, Hanna-Barbera created the Laff-A-Lympics, a series which placed 45 of the most famous Hanna-Barbera characters in a head to head competition. Each week, the characters would compete in a variety of challenging events in two distinct famous locations. Along with commentators Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf, Scooby tries to lead his team The Scooby Doobies, which includes Shaggy and Scooby-Dum among other famous Hanna-Barbera characters, to victory against the Yogi Yahooeys and the constantly cheating Really Rottens. Though Shaggy and Scooby-Dum were part of Scooby's team, Fred, Velma and Daphne are not featured in this series at all and focus was more centered on all the Hanna-Barbera teams and characters, rather than just Scooby. The series aired for two seasons and 24 episodes beginning in September 1977, before being cancelled in October 1978.

THE SCOOBY-DOO AND SCRAPPY-DOO SHOW
September 8, 1979 - January 5, 1980
1 season, 16 episodes
Network: ABC
ABC felt the old Scooby-Doo formula was becoming old and tired, and went so far as to threaten to not renew Scooby-Doo for another year. Because of this, WB decided to introduce a new main character, Scooby's spunky nephew Scrappy-Doo, to the series. The gang continued to solve mysteries with the help of Scooby's nephew, who was misguided and overeager to catch the baddies, despite his good intentions. Midway through the series, Pat Stevens decided to step down from Velma, and Hanna-Barbera had to quickly cast a new actress for the role, as the series was already mid-production and still had five episodes remaining. Beginning with the twelfth episode "The Ghoul, The Bat, and the Ugly," Marla Frumkin replaced Pat Stevens for the role of Velma for four episodes. In the final episode of the series, "The Ransom of Scooby Chief," Velma did not speak at all, but still briefly appeared in the episode.

THE RICHIE RICH / SCOOBY-DOO SHOW
November 8, 1980 - October 31, 1981
2 seasons, 60 episodes
Network: ABC
Still wanting to spice up the Scooby formula, Hanna-Barbera made the radical decision to completely remove main characters Fred, Velma, and Daphne from the series entirely. This gave the franchise a complete overhaul, as only half of the original characters which fans fell in love with still remained. This series also took a detour from the classic monster-in-a-mask formula, and featured Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy-Doo chasing real monsters throughout the series. In some episodes, no monster was featured, and the primary antagonist was an angry or misguided human villain who took a disliking to the guys. The length of the episodes also switched from the original 22 minutes down to 7 minute shorts. In addition, though the shows never intersected, Richie Rich was also aired alongside Scooby in a new programming block to make "The Richie Rich / Scooby-Doo Show." The series ran for two seasons, airing a total of 60 Scooby-Doo episodes and 63 Richie Rich episodes.

THE SCOOBY & SCRAPPY-DOO PUPPY HOUR
September 25, 1982 - December 18, 1982
1 season, 39 episodes
Network: ABC
In a similar vein to the previous series, this incarnation featured Scooby, Shaggy and Scrappy solving mysteries for Shaggy's Uncle Fearless, who owns the Fearless Detective Agency. As with the preceding series, some of the villains are supernatural villains, while others are crooks and criminals up to no good. Though in no particular pattern or familiar order, of the three 7-minute episodes aired every week, two episodes featured Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy, while the other one highlighted the adventures of Scrappy and his Uncle Yabba-Doo, who is owned by Deputy Dusty, a Southern lawman. Together, the three get in mischief and misadventures while trying to solve crimes around their town. The Scrappy and Yabba Doo shorts are also the first in the entire franchise to feature none of the five main characters. The series only lasted for a single season, comprised of 39 episodes. In addition, the series was paired with another show, The Puppy's New Adventures, however, many fans consider the two shows as completely separate, though they originally aired as part of a programming block together.

September 10, 1983 - December 10, 1983
1 season, 24 episodes
Network: ABC
After The Scooby & Scrappy-Doo Puppy Hour was cancelled after only one season, the Hanna-Barbera executives decided they wanted to try another new formula, though one more similar to the original format of the franchise. Daphne was reintroduced to the show, though Fred and Velma were still completely absent. Together, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne and Scrappy solved spooky mysteries, with the ghosts and monsters being interchangeably fake culprits in a mask and real supernatural creatures, differing from episode to episode. The episode length also changed from 7 to 11 minutes, with two episodes being aired per week. However, the final two episodes aired were both 22 minutes in length, though they are sometimes referred to being two-part episodes, due to the fact that all the other episodes of the series are usually 11 minutes.

September 8, 1984 - December 1, 1984
1 season, 20 episodes
Network: ABC
This series kept the formula from The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show intact, with two minor changes. In this series, many of the episodes were 11 minutes, though several episodes were 22 minutes long as the final two episodes of the previous show had been. Velma and Fred were also reintroduced as recurring characters, who only appeared in the full-length 22 minute episodes. The first three 22 minute episodes included both Fred and Velma, though the remainder of the 22 minute episodes had Velma and Fred guest star separately from each other, leaving one main character missing. THE 13 GHOSTS OF SCOOBY-DOO
September 7, 1985 - December 7, 1985
1 season, 13 episodes
Network: ABC
The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo took a darker approach to the franchise, involving real supernatural creatures and the series' first overarching plot, which continued to develop from episode to episode. The premise of the series revolves around Shaggy and Scooby being tricked by two mischievous spirits into opening "The Chest of Demons," a fabled chest which holds the 13 most evil ghosts and demons in the world. With Daphne, Scrappy-Doo, and their new friend Flim Flam, Shaggy and Scooby have to fix their mistake and recapture all of the 13 ghosts, with the help of mystical warlock Vincent Van Ghoul (voiced by the legendary Vincent Price). The series ran for only a single season made up of thirteen episodes. Due to each episode featuring only one ghost and the abrupt cancellation of the series, the series ended on a cliffhanger, with only twelve of the thirteen ghosts captured. However, in 2019, a movie entitled Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost was released, which served as sort of an ending to the series.

A PUP NAMED SCOOBY-DOO
September 10, 1988 - August 17, 1991
3 seasons, 30 episodes
Network: ABC
After no Scooby series had been aired since December 1985, Hanna-Barbera decided to give the series another large overhaul, this time in order to focus on the gang's lives when they were young children. Fred and Velma were finally reintroduced as regulars of the show once again, and Scrappy-Doo was completely removed from the series. Several of the character personalities also were changed for this new series, including a more bossy and self-centered personality for Daphne and a more meek persona for Velma. However, of the characters, Fred's personality was changed the most. Instead of being the leader of the gang, Fred was turned into a more silly, dumb character who believed ridiculous legends and stories which he read in his favorite magazine, The National Exaggerator, as well as constantly blaming the neighborhood bully, Red Herring, for being behind every mystery that the gang solved. A Pup Named Scooby-Doo also introduced three new voice actors for the gang, Christina Lange (Velma), Carl Steven (Fred) and Kellie Martin (Daphne). Marla Frumkin, Frank Welker and Heather North were temporarily let go from the series. Frumkin would later move on to other projects and never again voice Velma, although Welker and North resumed their roles of Fred and Daphne, respectively, in later Scooby-Doo projects. The series lasted for a total of thirty episodes and three seasons, which was the largest amount of seasons in a Scooby-Doo series since 1976's The Scooby-Doo Show.

WHAT'S NEW SCOOBY-DOO?
September 14, 2002 - July 21, 2006
3 seasons, 42 episodes
Network: Kids WB
What's New, Scooby-Doo? takes the gang into the 21st century, using the classic Scooby format featuring the gang having access to updated technology as well as giving the series a more modern look. This series also marked the show's departure from ABC, which Scooby-Doo had aired on since 1976. Beginning with this series, Scooby moved to his new home on the Kids WB network. The series aired a total of 3 seasons and 42 episodes, though the final episode, "E-Scream" was the only one to air in 2006. The rest of the third season aired in 2004-2005, though for an unknown reason, the series was placed on a year-long hiatus one episode before concluding. In addition, this series featured almost entirely new voice actors, most notably Frank Welker, who had recently made his return to voice Fred, along with taking on the role of Scooby after Don Messick's unfortunate passing in 1997. Mindy Cohn and Grey DeLisle also made their debuts as Velma and Daphne, respectively, though DeLisle had previously voiced Daphne in the movie Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase.

SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED
April 5, 2010 - April 5, 2013
2 seasons, 52 episodes
Network: Cartoon Network
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated presents us with a much darker overarching storyline, which includes somewhat more mature themes than many of the previous Scooby-Doo series to date, including romantic dramas and implied character deaths. In addition to the normal new mysteries every episode, an overarching mystery is also developed during the course of the seasons. In the first episode, the gang receives from a mysterious figure only known as "Mr. E," which leads to a much larger mystery in the gang's city. The gang now lives in Crystal Cove, a town that prides itself on its spooky legends and haunted past. In the process of trying to solve the mystery, internal struggles with the gang threaten to tear the five friends apart. Though Casey Kasem still provides the role of Shaggy's father, Matthew Lillard, who portrayed the cowardly teen in the first two Scooby-Doo live action movies, takes his place as the voice of Shaggy. Lillard would later permanently come to voice Shaggy after Kasem's passing in 2014. The series also moved to Cartoon Network, where reruns of the series had previously aired. Two seasons and fifty two episodes were aired, coincidentally premiering in 2010 and concluding on the same day, April 5, three years later in 2013.

BE COOL, SCOOBY-DOO!
October 5, 2015 - November 13, 2017 (UK) / March 18, 2018 (US)
2 seasons, 53 episodes
Network: Cartoon Network (Episodes 1-20) / Boomerang (Episodes 21-26, 42-53) / Boomerang Streaming Service (Episodes 27-41)
In a more comedic and character-centric take on the classic Scooby-Doo formula, the gang drives around in the Mystery Machine in search of spooky mysteries. This series presents each of the gang as more three-dimensional characters with well-developed identities. Fred, who enjoys order and teamwork, struggles to keep the gang focused with various distractions and situations which develop during the mysteries. Velma (now voiced by Kate Micucci), who has built her whole life around logic and reason, deals with the challenge of not being quite as good socially as others are. Daphne prides herself on being an eccentric nonconformist whose random personality traits and quirks sometimes befuddle the gang, but she has a big heart and is often a big factor in bringing the gang closer as friends. Shaggy is the same cowardly, hungry teenager he's always been, while Scooby is shown to be more witty while usually sticking to making comments which are four words or less.
This series has also experienced major oddities in scheduling throughout its run, including last-minute air date and time changes beginning with the eighth episode. After episode 13, the series was put on a series of hiatuses, ranging in length from a few weeks to several months. After the twentieth episode aired on March 12, 2016, the show was put on a year-long hiatus. In March 2017, it was announced that the series would be removed entirely from the Cartoon Network schedule. The final six episodes aired on Cartoon Network's sister channel, Boomerang, in a late night slot on June 20, 2017.
On March 7, 2017, Boomerang announced that the second season would be released exclusively in the United States onto their new online streaming service, marking the first time in the franchise that a Scooby-Doo series did not premiere on television. During that same month, season two began premiering in other countries on the Boomerang television network. The season 2 episodes aired internationally in several countries throughout the summer of 2017, with the two-part series being aired on Boomerang Australia on September 14 and 15. However, for an unknown reason, Australia initially skipped over the twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth episodes of season 2, two 11-minute shorts. On November 13, 2017, the final unaired episodes, "Pizza O'Possum's" and "The Curse of Half-Beard's Booty," premiered on Boomerang UK, concluding the series.
In the US, the first fifteen episodes of season two premiered on the streaming service exclusively. The seventh episode, "Halloween" was the first episode to be added to the service on September 28, 2017. On November 30, 2017, "Scroogey Doo" (episode 10) was added onto the service for the holidays. December 21 and 22 saw the remaining 13 of the first 15 episodes added to the streaming service. On March 8, 2018, for an unexplained reason, the final 11 episodes began airing on the Boomerang television network, despite previous announcements that the second season would be exclusive to the streaming service in the US. Episodes 16-26 of the show aired in an overnight slot on the Boomerang TV network. Once again, the twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth episodes were skipped over and aired as the finale in the US, despite confirmation from the show's head writer that the two-part "Professor Huh?" should have aired as the finale. The series concluded on March 18, 2018 with "Pizza O'Possum's" and The Curse of Half-Beard's Booty."
